The 45th running of the Statesman Capitol 10K presented by Baylor Scott & White Health is scheduled to return live to the streets of Austin, Texas on Sunday, April, 10, 2022. Participants also have the option to purchase a virtual race experience.

Event organizers are working closely with the City of Austin, including Austin Public Health (APH) and Austin Center for Events (ACE), to safely produce a race weekend experience for event attendees and the Austin community. Preparations for the April 2022 race will align with local and state coronavirus guidelines.

For this reason, the event will provide specific guidelines to registered participants in the months and weeks leading up to race weekend.

We are committed to sharing event plans in a measured way to ensure our updates reflect what you will see on race weekend. Our team is developing operational plans for various scenarios. We anticipate having more specific updates about race weekend and in early Spring when we have a better understanding of the environment the event will operate in.

2021

If you are a 2021 race registrant, your registration category will be automatically changed to a Virtual Race experience on February 1, 2021. As a participant, there are no additional actions you need to make in reference to the category change. We do not offer refunds on registration fees from the 2021 race. You will, however, still receive the 2021 race packet including the race shirt, bib number, and finisher’s medal in spite of the in-person race cancellation. You may claim your packet in person on 4/9/21 or 4/10/21 at the contactless drive-thru packet pick-up or purchase mail fulfillment by 4/30/21.

There are no registration deferrals or transfers from the 2021 to 2022 race. The 2021 event will be a virtual race experience. Registration for the 2022 race will open in late October 1, 2021.

Live Packet Pick-up (PPU) at Palmer Events Center is canceled due to elevated health risks. We are closely monitoring Federal, State, and local health regulations amid the COVID-19, Coronavirus pandemic. In-person contactless drive-thru packet pick-up is the alternate 2021 plan to safely issue race packets.

On April 9 & 10, 2021 the Statesman Cap10K Race will conduct a contactless drive-thru Packet Pick-up event for participants of the 2021 canceled race. At this event, race packets were distributed to participants of the 2021 Virtual Race.

If you are unable to attend the contactless drive-thru packet pick-up event and you would still like to receive your packet for the 2021 race, the only option available at this time is to request and pay to have your race materials mailed to you. The cost to have your packet mailed is $11 per packet (processing fee not included).

This option expires on 4/30/21.

To make room for the new batch of 2022 race gear, all unclaimed 2021 race packets will be donated to a local non-profit on August 1, 2021. Contact the race office to arrange a lobby pick-up before August.

This option expires on 7/30/21.

2020

If you are a 2020 race registrant, your registration will be moved forward to the 2021 race at no additional cost. To move forward you must re-register to complete the transition. We do not offer a refund on registration fees. You will, however, still receive the 2020 race shirt and finisher’s medal in spite of the race cancellation by the City of Austin.

Please look for an email sent on 6/1 with a register code for free registration into the 2021 race on Sunday, April 11, 2021. If you do not register for the 2021 race your free entry will expire. The email with the free entry code could be in a spam or junk mail folder.

If you were a 2020 race registrant, please look for emails sent on 6/1, 7/8 & 7/30, 10/7, 10/21, 11/11 & 12/10 with a registration code for free registration into the 2021 race on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

If you do not register for the 2021 race your free entry will expire on 12/31/20.

Participants will receive two confirmation emails to the participant’s email address supplied at the time of registration. The subject heading for your emailed confirmations will read:

  • Statesman Cap10K (registration confirmation). The subject line will read Your 2021 Statesman Cap10K Registration

Check Spam Filter
Many times if you use the same email address for multiple entries your Internet Service Provider (ISP) will flag our confirmation emails as spam since you are receiving multiple emails at once that look 99% identical.

Manage My Registration
If you did not receive a Confirmation Payment Receipt or Registration Receipt email, log into your EnMotive Runner Profile to verify your registration is complete. Once logged into your account you can resend the confirmation email.

On September 23 & 26, 2020 the Statesman Cap10K Race conducted a contactless drive-thru Packet Pick-up event for participants of the canceled 2020 race. At this event, race packets were distributed to participants of the canceled 2020 race.

If you prefer to have your packet mailed, we can accommodate that service for $11 per packet (+ online fee). Packet mailing is a limited-time offer valid from 9/1/2020 to 12/31/2020.
