Frequently Asked Questions - Sunrise Tour

Use personal discretion when choosing to run with a face mask, in a group, or within 6-feet of another participant.

Please observe and follow proper hygiene safety when visiting each local coffee house.

  • Wash hands frequently.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Utilize mobile pay when available.


In addition, please stay home if you have any of these symptoms:

  • shortness of breath

  • muscle pain
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • loss of taste or smell
  • nausea or vomiting
  • diarrhea

Anyone can participate. There is no participation cost associated with using or following training routes. Adult supervision is required for all youth participants.

No. How far you run, walk or skip is completely up to you and your personal fitness level. Our course maps and street decals mark each mile on the route. If you only want to walk 2-miles, flip a u-turn at mile one and retrace your steps to finish your route.

No. Participation without a bib number is free, however, our local coffee house partners are extending special drink discounts when you show your official bib. Addition merchandise is for sale and optional.

To start the Refer a Friend program you must first purchase one of the tour gear items (bib or bib, shirt, mask combos). Once you’ve made your purchase you will receive a special discount code in your registration confirmation email. Share the code with friends and family for up to 5 uses. Each person you share the code with can use the code to receive $2 off their registration at check out. Each person that uses your discount code counts towards a $2 refund back to you. Refund total cannot exceed $10 and will be refunded following event period (ends 12/17/2022). Processing fee billed at the time of registration is not eligible for refund. Code can only be applied to Austin’s Coffee House 10K Sunrise Tour event.

No. This is not a race. There is no official start time and there is no official timing or scoring.

The fall coffee house tour includes six featured local coffee houses. Over the course of the next three months, from October to December, one coffee house will be featured every other week. Once each new coffee house is announced participants can run or walk the route.

Each meeting will start at 8:00 a.m. A tour representative will greet everyone attending to review the tour format and answer questions.

Grab a map or use any of the map tools provided on each coffee house event pages. This is a self-guided, self-paced activity. Start your personal training run or walk once you’ve reviewed the route and located the starting line street decals.

There is no limit. Take as much time as you need to complete your training run or walk–the coffee will still be hot when you return.

Travel in the direction facing traffic when available for safety. Course routes are not sanctioned by the Cap10K.

The spring coffee house tour varies between 10-12 featured local coffee houses. The fall tour varies between 6-8 featured coffee houses. In the spring the events are held each weekend starting in January. In the fall the events are held every other weekend starting in October.

No. The coffee house tour and each route were designed for the purpose of severing as a local training resource. These training resources can be used at any time and in any order.

No. Once each route is published you can use the route in your training at any time and in any order.

Yes. The routes are measured to the approximate 6.2-mile (10-kilometer) distance.

Yes. Each route includes street decals located at the start, finish, each mile, 5K and 10K locations. Street decals are located next to the curb or on the sidewalk. Decals are on the side of the street in the direction of a participant facing oncoming traffic. Other markers may be substituted when route is on trail surfaces.

All tour purchases including bib, shirt, and mask are mailed by contactless delivery through the USPS within five business days. Shipping is included in purchase price. All gear is mailed, there is no in-person pick-up.
