Since its inception in 2010, Longhorn Run has become a campus tradition that unites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Austin community during the spring semester. Produced through the combined efforts of the Longhorn Run student committee and Recreational Sports, the race offers 5K and 10K courses that start on the UT campus and run through campus and surrounding central Austin areas. Proceeds from the race benefit the UT Student Government and Recreational Sports Excellence Funds.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary, Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita 5K Fun Run brings together two of Austin’s favorite things – running and margaritas! For two decades, runners, joggers, walkers, and margarita lovers have converged at Sand Beach Park in downtown Austin for a shotgun start and 5K course that travels along the streets bordering Lady Bird Lake and the Butler Trail before ending back at the park for the highly anticipated Tex-Mex party and margarita celebration.

Calling all Superheroes! Throughout Super September, Austin superheroes will assemble to race against child abuse and neglect at the 13th annual CASA Superhero Run! This year, participants will have the option to race in-person on or to race virtually any time during September. This annual 5K and Kids 1K race helps children in the foster care system in Central Texas by supporting the CASA programs serving Travis, Williamson, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, and Hays counties.

The Rattlesnake Relays is a 12 mile relay in Circle C Ranch. Instead of the fastest time, the winning team is determined by being closest to their estimated finish time. There will be a staggered start and the Circle C Run Club reserves the right to implement a standardized over/under in minutes to every participating team’s estimated completion time to mitigate sandbagging and/or cheating. 
 
Oh, and instead of batons, there’ll be rattlesnakes (toy rattlesnakes, of course).

Sunset Valley

The Daisy Dash will have three distances to choose from–the Daisy 5K, a newly added fall 10K, and a kids mile. The 10k will also feature as the second race in the Austin Distance Challenge. It’s a day to bring the entire family out to race and join in all of the fun. All proceeds from the event will benefit Marathon Kids.

The race benefits the Gazelle Foundation, dedicated to providing clean water to the people of Burundi. Each registration equals clean water for one person for life. The ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot, one of Austin’s most beloved Thanksgiving traditions, started in 1991 with just a handful of volunteers and 600 participants. We are celebrating January 1st of 2025 in the best way we know how – with a run, great people and plenty of post-run festivities. Our New Year’s Day run is an annual tradition that Rogue started back in 2014. January 1st is Day 1 of a new year of training. It’s Day 1 of re-committing to your goals, and it’s Day 1 of chasing those goals with a community of others who want to help you get there. As always, this run is FREE and open to everyone whether you are currently a Rogue member or not. Water stops will be provided with Gatorade and water along the way every 2 – 3 miles. When you finish, we will have mimosas and orange juice to celebrate together. This is a great chance to hang and connect with much of the Austin running community!

Run Downhill to Downtown! The 3M Half Marathon presented by Under Armour boasts one of the fastest 13.1-mile courses in the country and will celebrate its 31st year running on Jan. 19, 2025. More than 5,000 runners took to the Austin streets in 2023. Runners will enjoy a point-to-point course with mostly downhill running that showcases some of Austin’s finest locations.
