An Austin Icon
Over the past 46 years, the Statesman Capitol 10,000 has grown to become an Austin icon. The 6.2-mile race annually attracts 20,000 runners from right here in Austin and beyond. Spectators attend in anticipation of the winners each year, bringing the overall attendance to the event well over 25,000. The party keeps rolling once you cross the finish line and enter our Finish Line Festival on the banks of the Colorado River. Local live music, food trucks, beer garden, CapKids Zone, team area, and exhibitors sprawl across the 49 acres of Vic Mathias Shores.
