Statesman Cap10K Named #1 10K to run in the US in 2025 by Halfmarathons.net
Austin, TX — The 48th annual Statesman Capitol 10,000, presented by Baylor Scott & White Health, scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2025, has been named the #1 10K race to run in the United States for 2025 by HalfMarathons.net. This is the second consecutive year the race has earned this prestigious honor. Registration is currently open at Cap10K.com, where participants can also make a charitable donation to The Kindness Campaign, the 2025 race beneficiary. The Austin American-Statesman will match donations up to $10,000.
Founded in 1978, the Statesman Cap10K has grown to become the largest 10K in Texas and one of the most iconic running events in the country. Consistently recognized in “Best Of” rankings across the Austin area, it has become a community favorite and a must-run for both locals and visitors alike.
Jeff Simecek, Cap10K Race Director, attributes the race’s ongoing success to meticulous planning and a relentless focus on enhancing the participant experience.
