Siete Family Foods is adding flavor to the Statesman Capitol 10,000’s 2021 virtual race. The local Mexican- American food brand is partnering with the local race to provide giveaways for race participants in their goody bags and gift baskets for Finisher and Photo contests.
In the interest of the health and safety of race participants and in anticipation of the city of Austin significantly modifying or canceling the large-scale in-person event, the Cap10K announced earlier this month its plans to move the 44th Cap10K race to a virtual format, April 11-30, and offer 10 different routes for participants to run. More race information is available at Cap10K.com/virtualrace.
“While the pandemic has changed so much in our lives, there’s a lot that hasn’t changed, like community businesses like Siete Family Foods who care about our community race,” said Jeff Simecek, Statesman Cap10K race director. “We are thrilled to partner with them and look forward to surprising our race participants at the drive-thru packet pickup with Siete bags of grain-free chips in their goody bags and great gift baskets for our Finisher and Photo contests.”
“Siete Family Foods will always place family at the heart of our company, and the Austin community has always been a part of that family,” said Veronica Garza, Siete co-founder and president. “Giving back to the city that has always shown us love and support brings us great joy. That is why we are partnering with the Cap10K, the largest 10K race in Texas and a beloved citywide tradition!”
The Cap10K, presented by Baylor Scott & White Health, is the largest 10K race in Texas, a BibRave Top Race in America and currently Austin Fit Magazine’s “Best Race/Run.” General race information is available at Cap10K.com.
