While we’re disappointed about the cancellation of the 43rd Capitol 10,000, we can still experience the largest 10K in Texas together — just in a new way. Please join us for a Cap10K virtual race.
The important participation details are below. After you complete the 6.2-mile race, you can view your finish time on Cap10K.com and will receive a finisher’s certificate. While physical social distancing is a must, staying close on social media is highly encouraged! Please document your virtual race and post your photos with the tag #Cap10Kvirtualrace.
Ideally, we want to hold packet pickup before your virtual race, but the continually evolving coronavirus situation and safety guidelines mean we just don’t have a date yet.
So, the choice is yours: Starting today, you can run a virtual race or you can wait until after the future packet pickup. Once that date has been established, you will have until June 30, 2020 to complete the virtual race.
We’re really excited to see thousands of you running our annual 10K in this new way and staying connected with the Cap10K community for the long run.
Virtual running works exactly the same way as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, along any route, at any pace and even on a treadmill. All you have to do is go for a run or walk and provide evidence that you have completed the distance.
Registration is free for all participants that registered for the 2020 live race. So you didn’t register for the 2020 live race, we can handle that too.
Choose your own route or follow one of ours and run it anywhere, anytime with anyone — at your own pace.
Log in to your EnMotive registrant profile and officially submit your race time.
Show us how and where you ran your virtual 10K — we’d love to see your photos.
