Engaging middle school students in fun, active, healthy events is something schools and parents strive to deliver across our communities. The Statesman is proud to be a supporter of middle schools and teachers with the Statesman Cap 10K Middle School Challenge. The 37th annual Statesman Cap 10K is on Sunday, April 6, 2014. The Statesman Capitol 10,000 is the largest 10K race in Texas and one of the top 10 in the nation. Seasoned runners or beginners are welcome to join the fun at our rite of spring in downtown Austin. The race will end at the Finish Line Festival with entertainment, activities, awards and contests – including awards for largest school teams, school spirit contest, and fastest times! Once you have crossed the finish line, please make your way to the main stage so your team can be judged for largest team and greatest spirit awards. You must be present to win.
The School Challenge is a great way for your school to be involved with the Statesman Cap 10K. There are many benefits to participating in the Statesman Cap 10K Middle School Challenge. Participation in the Middle School Challenge shows that you truly value health and wellness at your school!
