Dogs and their owners will not be permitted to enter corrals A or B at the start line regardless of their corral bib assignment. For the protection and safety of all participants the presence of animals in corral A or B is prohibited. Dogs and their owners are allowed to start in subsequent corrals C thru E. Any animal displaying aggressive behavior will be removed immediately with their owner by Austin Police.
The start line and finish line are a couple of blocks away from each other. The start line is at Barton Springs Road and South Congress Avenue. The finish line is on West Riverside Drive at Palmer Events Center.
We do not provide transportation to or from the race. Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority offers public transit.

The B-tag is a timing device that is will be affixed to the back of each race bib. DO NOT REMOVE the B-tag from your race bib. Please DO NOT BEND the bib number or the B-tag. The tag houses an electronic device that is read by timing mats lining the roadway at the starting line. When the tag passes across the mats the tag is read by an electronic field. This field is similar to scanning food at the grocery store check-out counter. Once the tag is read a start time is registered for your start. The same process is conducted at the finish to calculate your finish time.
No. The B-tag is a one-time electronic timing device. The B-tag will not be collected at the finish line.
Exchanges will not be serviced at the Health & Fitness Expo. In an effort to accurately fulfill all participant registrations, substitutions will not be accepted until each participant has had an opportunity to receive their requested size at the Expo. Exchanges will be accepted during the Finish Line Festival on race day in Butler Park. Exchanges will be accepted on a first come, first served basis while sizes and quantities are available.

No. All registration is online and packet pickup is ONLY available at the Cap10K Health & Fitness Expo the two days before the race. Yes, you can have your packet including your bib number and event T-shirt mailed to you provided you register before the deadline of March 10, 2015, for a fee of $17. To add packet mailing, simply select Packet Mail Out $17.00 upon registration under the Add on Merchandise heading.
Yes, children aged 10 & under that want to run or walk alongside a parent/guardian during the event are encouraged to register. Parents/guardians that register their child under this category will receive all race materials including a bib number, B-tag timing, and an official race T-shirt.
Strollers are allowed for your children, provided you opt in during your registration to inform us that you plan to push your child in a stroller. There is no fee required if child is registered as a passenger in stroller. We will provide an identifier for your stroller/child to wear on race day which can be picked up at the Cap10K Health & Fitness Expo. Strollers are defined as something that is pushed, not pulled.
In addition to indicating on your registration that you plan to push your child in a stroller, we require you to start in our family friendly stroller area. In the interest of safety for you, your child(ren), and all participants, we have developed this special start area for you and your family.

You may transfer your registration to a friend for a fee of $10 before the deadline of March 10, 2015. Please note: Each participant is responsible for paying for their own registration fee. The original runner is refunded their registration fee less the transfer fee. Example: If the original participant registered and paid the early bird price of $30, the $10 transfer fee will be subtracted and the original runner will receive $20 back on their card once the new runner completes the registration transfer. Then, the new participant, or transferee is taken into the exact same category to register for and required to pay the current registration fee.
Registration Transfer Instructions
A friend or family member has started a Statesman Cap10K race entry application for you but it will not be completed until you authorize your entry by signing the participation waiver. By signing the wavier you agree to be fully informed about the rules and restrictions associated with your participation in the race. Failure to complete the waiver agreement will result in non-participation in the event.
As a reminder the Statesman Cap10K does not issue refunds and this extends to applications with waivers that are not signed. The deadline to sign waivers is April 6, 2015.

You must ‘Claim’ your registration in order to sign your waiver. You must have your Registration number, which can be found on your confirmation email, or you can contact the person that registered you or the race office to provide it to you.
