Join us!

Austin 10K’r invites you to join us for a unique variety of fun running routes that will compliment your Cap10K training. The Central Library Run is a creative 3 to 6-mile route that travels through Butler Park before crossing over Lady Bird Lake on the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge. Connecting to the hike and bike trail the route travels over to the Shoal Creek tributary where the new Austin Central Public Library can be viewed nestled along the beautifully landscaped banks of the creek. This urban route is a combination of sidewalk and pedestrian paths that winds along Shoal Creek through the center of downtown all the way up to Pease Park. Enjoy fresh Whataburger cinnamon rolls, Ruta Maya Coffee and other snacks when you finish. The Central Library Run will start and finish at the Austin American-Statesman.

Brief Description

The Austin 10K’r social training routes are Cap10K staff organized runs or walks, which are variable in distance, free, open to the public and designed to promote healthy lifestyle through exercise. All events begin and end at Austin American-Statesman’s West parking lot. Social run route distances vary between 3-6 miles and will be scheduled regularly throughout the year. Each meeting will incorporate a creative theme that highlights the culture of Austin and the Cap10K. Maps, bottled water, nutritional bars, high fives and selfies will be shared at each meeting. Training routes are self-guided and self-paced. Baby Joggers and leashed pets always welcome. Join us on Saturday and bring a friend.
